We welcome Karen Ragsdale of Soulworks Yoga for an evening of Yin Yoga & Thai Fusion on Sunday evening, September 20 from 4:00 - 5:30 pm.
The slow, gentle pace of Yin yoga meets the relaxation and therapeutic benefits of Thai yoga/massage in this 1.5 hour fusion guided by Karen Ragsdale (E-RYT 200, RYT 500, Thai yoga level 1) for an evening of ultimate relaxation and wellness.
No experience necessary & all are welcome!
What to Expect:
A guided Yin yoga practice, combined with foot and leg Thai yoga, gentle craniosacral (scalp/face) massage, and guided meditation to bring you into a state of total rest. The poses will mostly be reclined or supine (on the back) for a restorative practice.
All levels of flexibility and practice are encouraged and supported in this class. Thai yoga stretches are guided by your own body's reaction and reception to the stretch, and can be as gentle as each student needs.
Students are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing that is easy to move in, and to arrive with clean feet; socks are welcome! And Now, Yoga provides yoga mats and all props necessary for the class (mats, blocks, bolsters, blankets, eye masks, etc.), but students are welcome to bring their own as well.
Sensory experience expectations: light incense will be burned, low/off overhead lighting, soft music; consensual touching of students’ feet, legs (to lower thigh), face and head unless noted otherwise; students are welcomed and encouraged to list areas that they don't feel comfortable being touched prior to the class. Nothing in the lower abdominal to upper chest area will be touched.
Complementary hot teas and filtered water are also available to all; the only thing you truly need to bring is yourself!
$35 per person. Please book your spot in advance as space is limited to 6 participants.
