Yoga Basics

Just like it sounds…the basics of yoga. Class will focus on breathing and alignment of basic postures. The use of props such as blocks, blankets, and straps may be utilized. Great for beginners and those who want a refresher and/or to perfect their alignment.

Vinyasa 1

A flow based yoga, connecting the breath with movement as you go through a series of postures. Sequencing is linked moving from one posture into another. All levels are welcome.

Vinyasa 1/Power Vinyasa

A faster paced flow with more strength based moves and postures. Class may include working with inversions and arm balances. Best for those with some yoga experience.

Gentle Vinyasa

A slower paced flow for those wanting gentle stretching, stress relief, and a calming atmosphere. All levels are welcome.

Mixed Level Vinyasa

A class with options in many of the postures in order to make it your class. If you’re feeling more active take the more challenging option. If you’re wanting a more relaxing class take the stepped down option. This class is great for learning to listen to your body. Focus inward and do the practice that is best for you rather than what the person on the mat next to you is doing. All levels are welcome.

Yoga Sculpt

A high intensity class using resistance bands and weights mixed with cardio bursts and static yoga holds. This class is suitable for all levels.

Barre

Barre is a low impact class that incorporates dance warm ups and yoga set to fun music. It uses a variety of movements from Pilates, Yoga, and Ballet. This class is designed to tone, slim, and stretch your entire body. This full body workout uses a fixed ballet barre and small props, such as light hand weights, pilates balls, and resistance bands. The class incorporates stretching segments between each strengthening series to help lengthen your body and increase flexibility. All levels are welcome.

Yin Yoga

Yin is the perfect compliment to a more active practice or a more active/aggressive sport. Most, if not all, of practice will be on the ground, holding the postures for several minutes in order to achieve long, gentle pressure, stretching the deep connective tissues and increasing blood flow to the joints. Yin is not a vigorous practice, however, many can find the practice very challenging. Individuals who are tight can find holding the poses for several minutes to be intense. Others who have difficulty with quiet and stillness find this style awkward and demanding. These are two types that benefit most from yin. All levels are welcome.

Yin & Yang

Yin Yang is a creative and fun way to blend both the yin and yang sides of yoga.  Each class is a fusion of body opening yin poses and then dynamic, energetic vinyasa flows.  Rather than shocking the body by jumping straight into asana, yin poses will slowly awaken the body, activating muscles and joints by holding poses for longer periods of time.  Once the body is warm and prepared, the class enters into a dynamic vinyasa flow. All levels welcome.

Restorative Yoga

Restorative yoga is all about relaxation. Each posture is held for 5 minutes or more while you are supported by props allowing you to completely surrender and rest. You will leave this class feeling renewed and restored.

Chair Yoga

Chair yoga is wonderful for those with limited mobility, balance issues, or beginners. Most, if not all, of class will be conducted sitting in a chair or standing with the chair as support. This class will help to increase mobility, strength, and flexibility. It may also help reduce stress levels and help improve pain management.
