Jessica Spragg…

I was first introduced to yoga through home workout videos. Next, I began to venture to local studios. During this time I fell in love with yoga. The welcoming environment and the amazing feeling both physically and mentally at the end of a class led me to begin a regular yoga practice. In 2018, with my youngest child going away to college and facing an empty nest, I decided to enroll in Emery Bryant’s Yoga Teacher Training. Initially, I only thought to deepen my practice and expand my knowledge of yoga while experiencing this new chapter in life. As the training continued and I jumped at opportunities to substitute teach I realized how much I truly enjoyed teaching yoga and sharing in others’ yoga practices. I am now RYT-200 certified through Yoga Alliance. For me yoga is about finding space within myself: space for quiet, space for contentment and acceptance. I always feel good, mind and body, at the end of a yoga practice. Yoga is my way to recharge. As a yoga instructor my goal is to connect with each student, to learn what they need and want out of yoga, and to deliver those needs and wants in a way that enhances their daily life. That’s the beautiful thing about yoga: it is what you need it to be, whether that be solely a physical practice, more of a mental practice or a combination of both. My role as a yoga instructor is to make the practice yours. I look forward to the continued learning and sharing of all yoga has to offer.

Kimberly Bergmann…

Kimberly is a former college gymnast and a current Occupational Therapist. She has a passion for wellness and all things outdoors!

Monica Hall…

Monica Hall is a RYT 200 with 11 years of yoga practice. As with many people, injury brought her into the practice not knowing what to expect. After a few months of consistent practice, her injury stopped being a burden to her everyday life; with the very common side effect of better mental health! Her passion for yoga grew over the years so much that she wanted to share her love for yoga with others. She is a former respiratory therapist with 10 years of experience, so to say the least, breath, circulation, and mobility are very important to her practice. She is a mom of 3 wonderful children with a loving supportive partner who is always there to support her dreams. Her area of yoga is mostly Vinyasa of all types focusing on energetic, purposeful, and intentional flows. Her goal is to help you feel the best you can by the end of a flow.

Maureen Kelts…

Maureen Kelts found yoga years ago in college. After trying different forms and learning new styles, she received her certification to teach last year.

“Yoga keeps me sane after long hours teaching middle schoolers. I love 13 and 14 year olds - and I truly believe that a steady yoga practice helps me keep loving them.”

Mattie Mowery…

Mattie is a 200 RYT yoga instructor. She focuses on the healing aspect of yoga. Through this journey she hopes to use the tools she has learned in her training to help others. As a practicing Buddhist, she adds a more traditional and intuitive approach to her practice.

Mattie focuses on connecting with breath and poses to heal the mind and the body. You can expect a slow Yin restorative atmosphere where you can show up as yourself and heal in your own way. During her classes you can also expect many forms of healing. She may add sound baths, guided meditations, crystal connections, smoke cleansing and breathwork exercises to add to the atmosphere and experience. The goal for Mattie is healing and teaching others how they can use these tools in their own lives to do the same.

Carol Priest…

I started yoga a little over 2 years ago and now I’m taking the leap from student to teacher. It’s exciting and terrifying at the same time. I had someone ask me “what do I need to start doing yoga” and I responded with “wear comfortable clothes and just show up”. I love teaching a class where you can have fun no matter where you are in your practice. We are all different and you may not be able to balance on one leg or bend your body into cool shapes, but that’s ok! I can’t either. Yoga is more than that. It teaches you to breathe, focus, make time for yourself, and have fun in this crazy world.

Karen Ragsdale. . .

Karen, RYT-200, is a lover of music and movement and fun. She was Buti yoga certified in September of 2018 after getting hooked on the upbeat, fast-paced, and meaningful practice a couple years prior, and she has been teaching it since January 2019. She added Vinyasa yoga to her teaching repertoire spring of 2019 as well, and enjoys coming up with unique sequences and transitions. She loves encouraging people to try new poses, and strives to make sure that everyone who comes to class feels like they can accomplish anything. Every class is a judgment free zone, the ego is always left at the door, and the studio is a safe space for each and every attendee.

When she's not teaching yoga, she enjoys hiking, traveling, kayaking, paddleboarding, and playing with her many fur-children. (She is a self-admitted crazy cat lady, and is proud of that fact).

Jenny Shriver…

“Hi! I'm Jenny Shriver, and I'm ecstatic about the opportunity to teach Zumba. After 25 years of teaching HS, I couldn't resist to teach something else, and there is no grading involved! Zumba is all about having fun! Who thought exercising could be just that? This class is for all levels and ages who love to move to music. I can't wait to meet you!”

Carissa Strange…

"Hi everyone, my name is Carissa Strange, I am a mother of a beautiful daughter and recently married the love of my life. I am a Rogersville local with my family and our 3 fur kids. I became RYT200 certified in 2021 but my fitness and health journey has steered me into Zumba and dance. I became Zumba certified in late 2022 and have loved every second. I am so excited to start teaching and can't wait to see you in class."

Sara Waters…

Sara Waters began her practice in 2016, delving into hot yoga as a way to become healthy post-pregnancy. Seeking to deepen her knowledge, she completed RYT-200 training in 2019 with Emery Bryant Yoga. A self-proclaimed “eternal student,” she holds an M. S. in Natural Science and enjoys continually learning new things. In her free time, she beads and dabbles in ceramics. Aiming to make all feel welcome, her lighthearted sense of humor provides students with an upbeat vinyasa experience.
